After getting engaged in Italy, this adventurous, fashion-forward couple wanted engagement photos that reflected both their love for travel and their timeless sense of style. We planned two completely different sessions- one along the beach at sunset and another inside the stunning Washington State Capitol Building in Olympia.

With soaring marble columns, grand staircases, and beautiful natural light streaming through oversized windows, the Capitol created the perfect backdrop for an editorial-inspired engagement session. Every space felt sophisticated while allowing their connection to remain the heart of every photograph.

Before their session, I contacted the Washington State Capitol staff and confirmed that a photography permit wasn't required for our Sunday mid-day session. With 90 relaxed minutes to explore the Rotunda and surrounding areas of the Legislative Building, we were able to create a gallery that feels both refined and authentic.
